چکیده

Background Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) has been associated with more than 100 genetic loci. This parallels positively to the clinical diversity that is reflected by classification of SLE. Objectives We aimed investigate associations between disease manifestations SLE and risk gene variants relevant Danish subjects European ancestry. Methods included 427 patients ancestry similar previous reports.[1] also 89,699 controls from Blood Donor Study Genomic Cohort. loci in this population were identified genome-wide association methodology hereafter correlated cumulative occurrence items. Results Fourteen mapped following genes: NCF2, STAT4, TNPO3/TPI1P2, IRF5, ITGAM, significantly (p<5E-8) The five lead (p<0.05) manifestations; NCF2 : proteinuria anti-phospholipid antibodies, STAT4 arthritis, serositis, neurologic disorder, lymphopenia, anti-Smith antibodies , IRF5 seizures proteinuria, TNPO3 ITGAM photosensitivity (Table 2). Conclusion Our findings support future use select, markers predicting various phenotypes. References [1]Leffers HCB, Troldborg A, Voss et al. Association of IRF5, STAT4 and BLK with systemic lupus erythematosus and other rheumatic diseases.

Recent large-scale studies in the Caucasian populations identified many new susceptibility genes to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In this review, we discuss our findings on some of such genes, interferon regulatory factor 5 (IRF5), signal transducer and activator of transcription 4 (STAT4) and B lymphoid tyrosine kinase (BLK), in the Japanese population. All of these genes were associated...

Genome-wide association studies in systemic lupus erythematosus: a perspective

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have been shown to be a powerful way of identifying novel susceptibility genes in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as demonstrated by a series of publications in the past year. Lupus has been a late-comer to the GWAS community, being preceded by success stories for the GWAS approach in other autoimmune diseases, including type I diabetes, ankylosing spo...

Unveiling the genetic loci for a panicle developmental trait using genome-wide association study in rice

Panicle size has a high correlation with grain yield in rice. There is a bottleneck to identify the additional quantitative trait loci (QTL) for panicle size due to the conventional traits used for QTL mapping. To identify more genetic loci for panicle size, a panicle developmental trait (LNTB, the length from panicle neck-knot to the first primary branch in the rachis) related to panicle size ...

The IRF5-TNPO3 association with systemic lupus erythematosus has two components that other autoimmune disorders variably share.

Exploiting genotyping, DNA sequencing, imputation and trans-ancestral mapping, we used Bayesian and frequentist approaches to model the IRF5-TNPO3 locus association, now implicated in two immunotherapies and seven autoimmune diseases. Specifically, in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), we resolved separate associations in the IRF5 promoter (all ancestries) and with an extended European haploty...
